HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

DO I PAY WEEKLY OR MONTHLY?
Payment is in advance and you can pay either weekly or monthly. Discounts are offered for paying in advance for periods of 6 or 12 months
HOW DO I PAY?
Initial payment will be taken via credit or debit card Other options are BACs payments, cheque or by standing order.
DO I HAVE TO BOOK?
Booking is advised to ensure that you reserve the unit size you need but as long as you bring the required documents you can move in without booking. Moving in must take place during our office opening hours.
CAN I MOVE IN TODAY?
You can move in at any time when our office is open. You will need to bring with you 2 suitable forms of identity and means of payment.
HOW LONG CAN I STAY?
There is no time limit
CAN I CHANGE THE SIZE OF MY UNIT?
At any point as long as there is availability
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM TIME I CAN STAY?
CAN I STORE ANYTHING?
You can store most things with us with the exception of:
- Living items, such as animals and plants
- Hazardous materials, such as flammable liquids and explosives
- Items that could decompose, such as exposed foodstuffs
- Unauthorised or illegal goods, such as drugs or firearms

WHAT SECURITY DO YOU HAVE?
We take security very seriously and have extensive security systems in place to protect your belongings, including 24 hour Digital CCTV located both inside and outside the main building and a comprehensive fire and smoke detection system
DOES DB SELF STORAGE PROVIDE LOCKS? DO YOU KEEP A KEY TO MY STORAGE UNIT?
For your security you provide your own padlock for your unit. We do not hold a key so only you will have access to your unit. For your convenience we sell a range of padlocks.
WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO RENT A UNIT?
2 forms of I.D must be provided before booking a unit including an address and proof of identity (photographic). Accepted forms of ID – Passport, Photo Card Driving Licence. Accepted proof of address – Utility bill, Bank Statement, Tenancy document. All documents must be less than 3 months old.
DO I NEED INSURANCE?
All items must be insured whilst stored with us. We provide free insurance to all our customers up to a contents value of £57 per sq ft of unit space rented. If you are storing items that exceed this value then you are strongly advised to provide your own insurance. Proof of insurance in this case must be provided to to DB Self Storage.
WHAT SIZE UNITS DO YOU HAVE?
Our units range from 25sq ft – 175 sq ft
DO I NEED TO GIVE YOU NOTICE WHEN I WANT TO MOVE OUT?
No notice is required. You will pay until the end of the week in which you leave. Any refunds due will be credited back to you.
WHEN CAN I ACCESS MY STORAGE UNIT?
At any point during our office open hours. Standard access hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday – Friday and 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturdays. Closed bank holidays.
DO YOU HAVE TROLLEYS I CAN USE?
Yes we have trolleys that are free for you to use
IS IT POSSIBLE TO VIEW THE STORAGE ROOMS BEFORE I RENT?
Of course. At any point during office opening hours we will be pleased to show you around and answer any queries.
DO I HAVE TO PAY A SECURITY DEPOSIT?
No security deposit required.
CAN I RESERVE A UNIT?
To make a confirmed reservation a payment of £25.00 will be taken. The unit will then be reserved until the date agreed. This payment will be offset against your first months rent. This payment will be non refundable should a reservation be cancelled.
DO YOU CHARGE ACCESS FEES?
Access during our reception opening hours is free of charge. You can come and go as often as you need with no additional cost.
